Department of Public Works will be conducting culvert repair work on Rangely Drive. The project includes replacing a culvert and repairing the asphalt at the intersection of Rangely Drive and Wuthering Heights Drive. County Crews will remove the old culvert pipe, install the new culvert pipe and repave Rangely Drive at the worksite location.
Starting today, April 28, Rangely Drive will be closed to thru traffic at Wuthering Heights Drive until mid to late May. All traffic will be detoured around the work area for the duration of this project. Wuthering Heights Dr and Desert Inn Way will serve as the detour route for this project.
Drivers who need to use the detour route should plan for added travel time. The County will also perform traffic control during the entire project. Citizens may not see work conducted immediately since time is needed to acquire the replacement pipe.
El Paso County wishes to thank drivers in advance for their cooperation. Please reduce speeds and watch for workers, equipment, signs, and barricades.
