November 2, 2020 – El Paso County Department of Public Works is excited to announce a significant update to their Construction and Maintenance Projects website. The website currently informs citizens of short-term and long-term projects and will now include weekly road work and maintenance projects in El Paso County.
Every other week, the Department of Public Works will post their upcoming road work schedule. The new schedule will include projects such as drainage work, pothole repairs, crack sealing, snowplowing, sign replacement, and customer service requests.
“The Department of Public Works understands the importance of keeping the public informed of road work that may impact them. This is a step forward for our Department. We will continue our efforts to keep the public better informed with the work that’s being done, said Scot Cuthbertson, Executive Director of Department of Public Works. “Please keep in mind that there are many factors that affect these schedules and create change, such as emergencies, snowstorms, and higher priority items.”
The Bi-Weekly schedule and location of road work provide citizens with the knowledge of areas that may impact drive-time. It also includes projects resulting from service requests that address issues or concerns citizens may have regarding County roads.
