A bridge on Goldfield Drive located between Bradley Road and Fontaine Boulevard and adjacent to the Big Johnson Reservoir requires repair. Temporary barricades were installed on December 2, 2019 resulting in narrowing the bridge to one lane of traffic.
The barricades, new stop signs and additional traffic measures will remain an interim safety measure until design and construction of the replacement bridge guard rail is complete. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes and should expect reduced speeds in this area.
Drivers are reminded to reduce speeds and to watch for workers, equipment, signs and barricades. El Paso County road maintenance workers wish to thank drivers in advance for their cooperation.
