El Paso County Department of Public Works will begin a paving project on Palmer Park Boulevard between Powers Boulevard and Hannah Ridge Drive this month. Public Works has contracted with Martin Marietta for the 2019 Asphalt Paving Contract. Martin Marietta will begin the paving operation on Palmer Park the evening of July 21 and is anticipated to continue into August. There will be intermittent nighttime work as well as daytime operations.
Drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes during construction. Drivers who need to use the route should plan for added travel time through this area.
Drivers are reminded to reduce speeds and to watch for workers, equipment, signs and barricades. El Paso County wishes to thank drivers in advance for their cooperation. Funding is provided through the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority.
