A section of Huber Road will be closed beginning on Monday, March 11 as El Paso County Road and Bridge crews work to replace a pair of culverts.
Huber Road will be closed east of Luther Road and west of Sayres Road as crews replace both culverts that are in need of replacement for to improve drainage and the roadway. The project is expected to completed by March 21, weather permitting.
Drivers will be rerouted during the closure to Tamlin Road for both west and east bound traffic. Luther Road will remain accessible from Huber (east of the closed section), and Sayres Road will remain accessible from Tamlin Road for the duration of work.
County Crews will remove the old culvert pipes, install the new culvert pipes and repave Huber Road at the worksite location. The County will also perform traffic control during the entire project.
Colorado is prone to unpredictable weather during the winter and spring months. El Paso County will monitor weather leading up to the project dates. If inclement weather impedes the project, the work may be rescheduled.
