MISSION

The Transportation Planning group plans multimodal transportation options for the future of El Paso County to ensure safe transportation of people and goods and coordinate with our partners in the Pike’s Peak Region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Transportation Planning Manager (TPM) is responsible for the Major Transportation Corridors Plan, the long-range plan focusing on the multi-modal transportation system in unincorporated El Paso County that looks at population and economic growth twenty years in the future, and other safety and corridor plans. Responsibilities also include funding transportation and safety improvement projects, obtaining state and federal funds, serving as the Road Impact Fee Program Manager and developing projects for the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority. Serves as the point of coordination with regional partners including incorporated areas, Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments, the Colorado Department of Transportation and the Central Front Range Transportation Planning Region and the Planning and Community Development Department.
