July 23, 2020 – El Paso County Department of Public Works has contracted with Martin Marietta for the 2020 Asphalt Paving Contract. Starting Friday, July 24, Martin Marietta will begin paving operations on Omaha Blvd from Powers east through Paonia St. The paving is expected to take two working days to complete.
Closures are planned to be in place on July 24th-July 29th for both milling and paving operations. Work will be conducted during early morning hours, between approximately 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. Business access will be provided at the direction of on-site flagger control. Omaha Blvd will be open to traffic each day after work is complete.
Drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes during construction. Drivers can take Powers Blvd towards Palmer Park Blvd as part of the detour. Please see the vicinity map below for more details.
